The big news today is of course President Obama’s address to the nation last evening regarding health care reform. The President reiterated his commitment to substantial reform this year, and also discussed a number of other topics. A summary can be found here.

Also of interest is this major article from the New York Times Magazine on health care rationing written by Princeton professor Peter Singer, whom I have had the pleasure of working with when he published some of his work in the Journal of Law, Medicine & Ethics.

Finally, from London, there is more news on the Swine Flu pandemic, which is generating the level of interest in Europe that it did in the United States just a few weeks ago.

As always, I also want to remind readers that I am always looking for interesting headlines related to Law, Medicine, and Ethics. If you have a tip, please feel free to leave it in the comment section or email me at thutchinson@aslme.org.

Hope you all have a good day!
