Hello again!

It's Courtney filling in this week for Ted Hutchinson.

News on health care reform has long been addressed in our blog posts as it continues to be a highly discussed topic.  Today, we learn that Senate Democrats may just try to pass a partisan health bill on their own using a strategy called “reconciliation.”

Also in today’s news, President Obama may have another opportunity to nominate a new Supreme Court Justice.  The New York Times notes some speculation that Justice Stevens may be retiring.  The senior Justice has only hired one law clerk — a move usually reserved by retiring justices.

Lastly, are cancer drugs the next major focus for pharmaceutical companies?  This article discusses the direction that pharmaceutical companies, in particular Pfizer, are taking towards investing in cancer research.

As always, we enjoy hearing from you.  Please take a moment to comment below or give us suggestions on ways to improve our communication with you.

Have a great day!
