Conference Description:
The Health and Human Rights Movement has become a dynamic rforce in intervational public health. This three-day, action-oriented conference will use plenary sessions, case studies, and small, interactive workshops to examine key empirical questions about the movement and its conceptual foundations.

Leaders in public health advocacy, research and administration will examine:

  • How law and human rights are related to the publicís health

  • How human rights and legal strategies can effectively promote public health

  • How advocates, researchers and policy-makers can use human rights as a framework for addressing structural causes of health and illness

  • Where the health and human rights movement goes into the future
