Incoming Dean Deborah R. Farringer

Deborah R. Farringer has been appointed the next dean of Belmont Law, effective August 1, 2026. Farringer joined Belmont as law faculty in 2013 and has served most recently as associate dean of academic affairs and professor of law. A nationally respected scholar in health law, cybersecurity and regulatory policy, she has been a central figure in Belmont Law’s rise to national prominence, including the school’s No. 1 ranking in the country for ultimate bar passage rate for two consecutive years and a 96.9% first-time bar passage rate for July 2025, the highest in Tennessee. Nicole Tuchinda Joins Saint Louis University School of Law

Nicole Tuchinda has been appointed to the faculty of the Saint Louis University of Law beginning in July 2026. Dr. Tuchinda’s arrival will enhance the breadth and depth of the medical expertise and scholarship in the nationally recognized Center for Health Law Studies. Tuchinda joins the faculty from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where she served as the Robert J. David Distinguished Professor of Law and Director of the Health Law Program. Her scholarship focuses on preventing and healing childhood trauma, nonmedical drivers of health, education and disability law, and health justice, including racial justice. Read more.
