The call to submit abstracts for oral, poster, workshop, and panel presentations for the 5th International Conference on Assisted Dying and Other End-of-Life Care (ICEL5) is now open. This is an in-person event held at the Gardens Point Campus of the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane, Australia from Wednesday 8th April to Saturday 11th April 2026.

ICEL5 is an interdisciplinary conference and we welcome abstracts that highlight legal, ethical, clinical, health policy, sociological, and other aspects of assisted dying internationally and within specific jurisdictions. We welcome abstracts that situate assisted dying in its broader end-of-life and health-care contexts, including research which sits at the intersection between assisted dying and other relevant issues, such as advance care planning, other forms of hastened death, and organ donation.  The call for abstracts and early bird registration close on Sunday 31 August 2025.
