Robert Field accepting the Jay Healey Award from Barry Furrow

Congratulations to Robert Field of Drexel University, who is the winner of the 2025 Jay Healey Teaching Award. As a Provost Solutions Fellow at Drexel University, Field integrates teaching, research and external partnership, leads collaboration across disciplines, and works to provide impactful experiential learning opportunities for students.

Field also sets a great example for students across several institutions; in addition to holding a joint appointment as professor of law at the Kline School of Law and professor of health management and policy at the Dornsife School of Public Health at Drexel University, he is also a lecturer in health care management at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a senior fellow of Penn’s Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics. He has written several books including the recent Mother of Invention: How the Government Created Free-Market Health Care, and publishes many papers in academic journals as well as news outlets such as The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Barry Furrow presented the award to Field, and his remarks will be published soon on the Health Law Professors Conference website.
