The 2026 Health Law Professors Conference, hosted by The American Society of Law, Medicine & Ethics and Georgia State University College of Law Center for Law, Health & Society, will take place at Georgia State Law in Downtown Atlanta, June 3-5, 2026. Your presentation could make this event the best one yet.

We’ve added an exciting new panel format this year. You can submit your single presentation (which will be grouped with others into a thematic panel), a Pre-Formed Panel around a theme with 3-5 other colleagues, or a Discussion Group that can include you and 5 or more colleagues. We must have your submission no later than January 31, 2026, so don’t delay, submit today!

  • Each attendee may submit one abstract and present once at the conference, in one session type only. Session types include:
    • Panels: traditional session with 4-6 speakers followed by an audience Q&A.
    • Round Tables: approximately 10 tables with 1 speaker each where attendees will rotate up to 3 times for in depth discussion with the speakers.
    • Discussion Groups: 6-8 discussants providing brief information to stimulate discussion among discussants and attendees.
  • Abstracts may be submitted individually or in connection to a pre-formed session. If you select “Pre-Formed Panel” or “Discussion Group” below, you will be directed to a section where you can provide name(s) and contact information for other participants, as well as a title and summary of the panel or discussion group.
  • You do not need to register to submit an abstract, but all accepted presenters must register and pay the registration fee. This is a live conference and does not have a virtual option.
  • If you want, your proposal will also be considered for an article in The Journal of Law, Medicine & Ethics symposium issue from this year’s Health Law Professors Conference. Note that this will not affect acceptance of your presentation proposal. Anticipated publication will be in spring 2027. Due to limited space, it will not be possible to publish a paper from every presentation.

Deadline for proposals: January 31, 2026.
